As a key member of the Privacy Office in Regeneron’s Law Department, you will help the rapidly growing, globally expanding business develop and execute data‑driven privacy, cybersecurity, and AI strategies while supporting Digital and Information Technology functions. You will report to Regeneron’s Chief Privacy Officer and be based at Regeneron’s SleepyHollow, NY or Cambridge, MA offices – a 4‑day on‑site requirement. Responsibilities Strategically assess potential privacy risks of new initiatives and develop controls, training, and guidance to ensure compliance. Provide legal advice on cybersecurity and information incidents, work with stakeholders to prepare for and respond to incidents, and manage the incident‑response process. Offer legal guidance at the intersection of privacy and AI adoption, actively participating in AI use‑case assessments. Draft policies, procedures, and guidance on privacy, cybersecurity, and AI matters in partnership with Law, Digital/IT, and business teams. Monitor U.S. and global developments in privacy legislation and industry practices, supporting operationalization of compliance with regional and local laws (e.g., CCPA/CPRA, NIS2 Directive). Advise on solutions for compliance with biometric and other emerging data‑related laws. Represent the Privacy Office on technology‑related committees and working groups. Partner with Privacy Office colleagues to advance and implement the Regeneron Privacy Program. Qualifications Strong knowledge of local and global privacy, cybersecurity, and AI laws, plus familiarity with risk‑management frameworks and standards such as NIST. Excellent relationship‑building skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all organizational levels. Exceptional oral, written, and presentation communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal analysis into practical guidance for diverse audiences. High business acumen, influencing skills, and the ability to drive change. Willingness to take on a leadership role in a dynamic and challenging field. Experience with privacy‑enhancing technologies is a plus. Pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry experience preferred. JD and a license to practice law in NewYork State or eligibility for such licensure. At least 12years of legal experience at a law firm and/or in‑house, with at least 5years of directly relevant experience. Biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or related life‑science experience strongly preferred.
